Role overview
A well-regarded international law firm with a growing funds practice in the Middle East is seeking a Funds Lawyer to join their Dubai team. With increasing deal flow across DIFC and ADGM-regulated structures, the firm needs someone with hands-on fund formation experience to support a busy and expanding client base across the GCC.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on the establishment and structuring of investment funds across DIFC and ADGM, including open-ended, closed-ended and exempt fund structures
- Draft and negotiate fund documentation including offering memoranda, limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements and side letters
- Advise fund managers, sponsors and institutional investors on regulatory and structuring considerations
- Support on secondary transactions, fund restructurings and co-investment arrangements
- Liaise with the DFSA, FSRA and other relevant regulators on fund registration and licensing matters
- Provide general corporate and commercial support to the wider team as needed
Candidate profile
- Common law qualified with 4 to 8 years' PQE
- Experienced in fund formation, with demonstrable involvement in establishing and structuring investment funds, not solely fund finance or investor-side work
- Technically strong with a working knowledge of DIFC and/or ADGM fund regulations
- From a recognised international or regional firm with a credible funds practice
- Commercially minded with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and engage directly with fund sponsors and institutional clients
